The CoinJar app offers two easy ways to buy and sell cryptocurrencies. You can Buy or Sell any cryptocurrency from the Buy / Sell tab, or Convert funds quickly from the Home tab.

In order to convert currencies within your CoinJar, you'll first need to complete ID verification. 

Buying and selling cryptocurrencies

In the Buy/Sell tab, you'll be presented with the current market prices for CoinJar's supported cryptocurrencies, as well as the current price for each, and a price chart for the last 24 hours. Selecting a cryptocurrency from the list will open the trade screen where you can view historical prices for different time periods, buy or sell, and view the market stats for each cryptocurrency.

When buying cryptocurrencies from the Buy/Sell tab, you will need funds in your Cash Account before you can buy. If you'd like to buy a cryptocurrency using cryptocurrency, you'll need to use the Convert option. Additionally, when selling cryptocurrencies using the Buy/Sell tab, you will only be able to sell cryptocurrencies for pounds.

1. From the Buy / Sell tab, select a cryptocurrency you'd like to buy or sell
2. Select 'Buy' or 'Sell'
3. Enter the amount you'd like to convert - you can also use the quick conversion options to fill the amount automatically with 25%, 50% or the maximum amount possible
4. Select 'Next'
5. Review the transaction, then swipe to convert at the bottom of the screen when you are ready.
6. You'll receive a payment receipt of the transfer that can be shared if needed

Converting between cryptocurrencies

Transferring funds from one of your accounts to another will automatically convert that amount into the currency type of the receiving account. For example, transferring £50 from your Cash Account to your Everyday Bitcoin will purchase £50 worth of Bitcoin.

1. From the Home tab, select 'Convert' from the Quick Actions bar
2. Select an account to convert funds from
3. Select an account to convert funds to. This is the currency you want your funds to be converted to
4. Enter the amount you'd like to convert - you can also use the quick conversion options to fill the amount automatically with 25%, 50% or the maximum amount possible
5. Select 'Next'
6. Review the transaction, then swipe to convert at the bottom of the screen when you are ready.
7. You'll receive a payment receipt of the transfer that can be shared if needed

The converted funds will now be available in their respective account, and details of the transfer can be viewed by visiting either the sending or receiving account.
