Choosing a reference currency

Andrew (Melbourne) -

Your reference currency is the currency you use most often or that you're most familiar with.  It helps you compare the value of each of your accounts by displaying their equivalent value in the currency of your choice.

For example, if the currency you use every day is Australian dollars then you could set your reference currency to "AUD".  In other accounts such your Everyday Bitcoin account, CoinJar will display both your native currency and underneath, in Australian dollars.

Please keep in mind that currency values change constantly in relation to one another, so the amount you see will update regularly and is only valid for the moments after you load the page.

Updating your reference currency

  1. Once signed in to your CoinJar, navigate to your Settings.
  2. Under 'General', you'll be able to see your current reference currency. To the right is an 'edit' button.
  3. You can now choose between 'AUD', 'BTC', 'GBP', 'EUR', or 'USD'.
  4. Select 'Save' to keep your changes, or you can cancel.
