CoinJar is a native app for iOS and Android devices - it's been designed to provide a quick and easy way to make new payments and transfers on the go. It can be used to make new bank deposits, view the pricing history of digital currencies, set up price alerts, and more.
If you haven't created a CoinJar yet, you can sign up using the app.
As we continue to improve CoinJar, some features can take some time to roll out to the CoinJar app on different platforms. If your platform's version of the CoinJar app hasn't yet been updated to include a certain feature, please don't hesitate to sign in to your CoinJar using your mobile device's web browser for full-featured access to your CoinJar.
The Home tab is the first area seen after signing in to the CoinJar app. It allows you to see the most important information about your CoinJar all in one central location, such as real-time prices, your individual digital currency accounts, deposit details and your total portfolio value.
The Quick Actions bar at the top of the Home tab shows the most common CoinJar tasks - Send, Convert, Deposit, Pay a Bill, Top up your Swipe card, or Withdraw.
The Swipe tab shows CoinJar Swipe transactions integrated directly into the CoinJar app, and allows you to top up your card on the go. In a future update, you'll be able to view your Swipe transactions in a monthly breakdown.
If you don't already have a CoinJar Swipe card, you can order one from the Swipe tab in the CoinJar app.
In the Buy/Sell tab, you'll be presented with the current market prices for CoinJar's supported digital currencies, as well as the current price for each, and a price chart for the last 24 hours. Selecting a digital currency from the list will open the trade screen where you can view historical prices for different time periods, buy or sell, and view the market stats for each digital currency.
When buying or selling, the confirmation screen will show you a summary breakdown of the rates and fees involved in the transaction. Given the irreversible nature of digital currency transactions, you'll need to swipe to confirm each transaction before its processed to help prevent accidental payments.
Buy/sell prices are consistent with those of CoinJar Exchange.
In an upcoming update, you'll be able to track all your digital currency holdings in the Portfolio tab, with a historical performance graph, loss/gain data and much more.
In the More tab you can manage everything else about your CoinJar account - your Settings, Price alerts, linked bank accounts and your Contacts.
