From 19 September 2024, you'll no longer be able to use your old BSB/Account number to deposit Australian Dollars to your CoinJar account.

What's Changed?

1. New BSB and Account Number: For all Australian Dollar bank transfers using BSB and Account number, CoinJar has transitioned to a new, unique BSB (840-502) and Account number. This change is designed to offer faster processing times and improve the security of your deposits.

2. Timing: Your new CoinJar BSB and Account number are now available for you to view online or in the CoinJar mobile app. Please note that it will no longer be possible to deposit funds to the old BSB and Account number after 19 September 2024. Any deposits made using the old CoinJar BSB and Account number after 19 September 2024 will be automatically returned which may take up to 1-3 days.

What Do You Need to Do?

If you currently use PayID to deposit funds into your CoinJar account, your PayID details will stay the same and no action is required.

If you make bank transfers to your CoinJar account using a BSB/Account number, you can find your new account details in the CoinJar app.

1. Tap 'Deposit'

2. Select 'Bank transfer'

3. Tap ' View deposit details'. There is no reference number for your deposit. Your account number is unique and should not be shared with anyone.

4. Update any CoinJar BSB/Account details in your mobile or internet banking.

Please note that since our BSB number will have changed, your first transfer using the new BSB and Account number might take 1-3 business days. Subsequent transfers might take 0-3 business days. Any transfers to the old account will be rejected.

How to deposit funds to your CoinJar?

Going forward, there will be four options to deposit funds:

1. PayID deposits funds almost instantly into your account. Note that not all banks currently support PayID. First-time transfers take one business day, and transfers may be subject to screening depending on your bank.

2. Bank transfers use a BSB and account number unique to your CoinJar account. Funds arrive in 0-3 business days.

3. Instant Buy lets you purchase crypto instantly with any Australian-issued Visa or Mastercard.

4. Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) with CoinJar Bundles Recurring Buy, with a low 1% fee, you can set up automated weekly, fortnightly or monthly debit and credit card crypto purchases of CoinJar Bundles to ensure you're always growing your portfolio. CoinJar Bundles are collections of popular cryptocurrencies you can purchase as a group, making them a great way to diversify your portfolio.

5. EUR and GBP deposits are also available through SEPA and Faster Payments.
