Downloading a full account statement

All CoinJar users can download a PDF or CSV output of their CoinJar transaction history within the CoinJar Web app. Instructions on how to do so can be found below:

1. Sign in to CoinJar via the web app and navigate to 'More'
2. Click 'Reports' and select ‘Transaction history statements’
3. Choose which output (PDF or CSV) and then select the date range for the statement.

When using the CoinJar App, please follow the instructions below on how to download your transaction history.

1. Sign in to CoinJar via the app and navigate to 'More'

2. Click on ‘General’ and then select ‘Reports’

3. This will display ‘Transaction history statements”.

4. Choose which output (PDF or CSV) and then select ‘Export Report’.

If the 'Reports' option cannot be found, please try signing out of your CoinJar and back in. If you are having any further issues with creating a statement output, you can submit a new Support request and get in touch with our CoinJar Support Team who will be able to assist further.

Downloading a Purchase and Sales Report

Although you can always view your previous transaction history by selecting any account listed in your CoinJar, you may prefer to download a CSV download of your trades. 

Understanding the Purchase and Sales Report

Your Purchase and Sales Report consists of a dated history of all buys, sells and conversions made using CoinJar. It includes the source and destination amounts, as well as any fees involved.

Transaction Type

There are three transaction types - buy, sell and convert - that refer to the different types of trades made on CoinJar. 

Source Amount / Source Currency

This is the amount and currency the trade begins with.

Destination Amount / Destination Currency

This is the amount and currency the trade ends with. The Destination Amount column is a gross calculation and includes the fees incurred during the trade.

Fee Amount / Fee Currency

This is the amount and currency of the fee incurred during this trade.

Currency Pair

This is the currency pair used during this trade.

Exchange Rate

This is the exchange rate at the time of trade, for reference.

Downloading your Form 1099-DA 

You can now download your IRS Form 1099-DA directly from CoinJar to help report cryptocurrency sales on your tax return.

What is Form 1099-DA?

Form 1099-DA is an IRS information return that reports the gross proceeds from your cryptocurrency sales on CoinJar. Starting with the 2025 tax year, CoinJar is required to provide this form to eligible customers to be filed with the IRS.

How to download your Form 1099-DA

On the CoinJar app:

1. Tap More at the bottom menu
2. Then head to General > Reports & Statements 
3. Under Tax Forms, select Consolidated Forms 1099 (2025) 
4. The 1099-DA form will be sent to your email address

On the CoinJar website:

1. Tap More at the top menu, then head to Reports 
2. Under Tax Forms, select Consolidated Forms 1099 (2025) 
3. The 1099-DA form will be sent to your email address
