Maker (MKR) - 11 September 2025
We’re writing to inform you that CoinJar will be delisting Maker (MKR) from CoinJar and CoinJar Exchange (CJX), in line with MakerDAO’s transition to the SKY token.
You’ll be able to swap MKR for SKY on CoinJar and trade both tokens on CoinJar Exchange. Normal fees will apply.
Please note: CoinJar will not be supporting a protocol-level MKR→SKY migration or offering fixed-rate swaps. If you’d like to migrate MKR to SKY at the MakerDAO rate, you’ll need to withdraw to an external wallet that supports the migration.
CoinJar recommends that you consider selling MKR tokens before 14th September 2025, or withdrawing MKR from your CoinJar account to your external wallet. Capital Gains Tax might apply to any assets sold but we strongly advise that you check with your accountant or tax advisor (as this is not tax advice).
Key Dates
5th September 2025 (Friday) or sooner:
- Sky Token will be available for trading on both CoinJar and CoinJar Exchange.
11th September 2025 (Thursday):
- MKR Delisting Date across CoinJar and CoinJar Exchange.
- Deposits will be disabled.
- Trading, Bundles, Recurring Buys, and CoinJar Card support will end.
What’s Changing
- Trading: MKR will remain tradeable until the MKR Delisting Date (or sooner if required by market conditions). After this date, all trading pairs will be delisted on CoinJar Exchange, open orders cancelled, and any remaining MKR returned to your CoinJar.
- Deposits & Withdrawals: Deposits will be disabled from the MKR Delisting Date. Withdrawals will remain available until further notice so you can move MKR to an external wallet that supports the MKR→SKY migration.
- CoinJar Bundles: From 28th August 2025, MKR is no longer included in Bundle weights. You can rebalance to sell MKR, or unbundle it. On the MKR Delisting Date, any MKR left in Bundles will be automatically unbundled and placed into your CoinJar account at no cost. You can rebalance your bundles in a few easy steps. Steps to follow are here.
- Recurring Buys (DCA): You can cancel MKR Recurring Buys at any time. On the MKR Delisting Date, any active MKR DCA will be cancelled automatically. Steps to follow are here.
- CoinJar Card: MKR will no longer be available to use with CoinJar Card from the MKR Delisting Date.
What You Can Do
- If you want to sell or swap MKR on CoinJar: consider doing so before the MKR Delisting Date to avoid disruption.
- If you wish to hold MKR: no action is required, but trading and deposits will cease on the MKR Delisting Date.
- If you want to convert to SKY at a protocol/token-swap rate: withdraw MKR to an external wallet or venue that supports the migration.
- If you want to manage Bundle exposure: rebalance to remove MKR, or unbundle your Bundle entirely.
Tax Considerations
Selling, converting, rebalancing, or otherwise disposing of digital assets may have tax implications, including Capital Gains Tax. This communication is not financial or tax advice. Please seek independent advice from an accountant or a financial advisor.
SKY Listing
SKY will be listed on CoinJar and CoinJar Exchange soon. We’ll notify you as soon as it becomes available.
Thanks for your understanding as we support MakerDAO’s transition.

Capital Gains Tax might apply to any assets sold but we strongly advise that you check with your accountant or tax advisor (as this is not tax advice).

OMG - 20 September 2024
As part of the OMG Network's transition to BOBA Network, CoinJar has delisted OMG as of 20 September 2024. Below are the key details of this change and how it may impact you.
Key Points of the Delisting
-
OMG Delisting and Exchange Trading Pairs:
- OMG trading pairs have been delisted from CoinJar Exchange. All open OMG orders were cancelled, and any OMG tokens were transferred back to your CoinJar account.
- OMG will no longer be available for purchase, sale or conversion within CoinJar.
-
CoinJar Bundles Update:
- OMG has been unbundled from all existing CoinJar Bundles. If OMG was part of your Bundle, it will now appear as an individual asset in your CoinJar account.
- New Bundle purchases will exclude OMG, and future rebalances may result in the sale of OMG from current Bundles.
-
CoinJar Card Usage:
- OMG can no longer be used with the CoinJar Card. You cannot top up or spend OMG using the Card.
-
Deposits and Withdrawals:
- You can continue to hold OMG in your CoinJar account, and withdrawals will remain available until further notice. However, there will no longer be a market on CoinJar for buying, selling, or converting OMG.
- If you wish to sell your OMG, explore other exchanges that support it. We recommend checking platforms like CoinGecko's OMG Network page for a list of exchanges that still offer OMG, and ensure you check liquidity before transferring your tokens there.
-
No Conversion to Boba Network:
- Please note that CoinJar does not support the conversion of OMG to BOBA. The Boba Network airdropped BOBA tokens to eligible wallets in November 2021, and there is no conversion facility to convert OMG tokens to BOBA tokens. CoinJar did not receive the airdrop.
-
Tax Implications:
- Please be aware that selling or converting your OMG tokens may have capital gains tax implications. We recommend consulting your accountant for professional advice.
What You Need to Do
For existing OMG holders, no immediate action is required. You may continue to hold or withdraw your OMG, but please note that it will no longer be tradable on CoinJar. If you plan to sell your OMG, we advise you to review other exchanges and check liquidity before transferring your tokens.
RNDR - 10 September 2024
You can now convert your RNDR (ERC20) to RENDER (SOL) for free at a 1:1 ratio in the CoinJar app. CoinJar will not automatically perform this conversion on your behalf.
What You Need to Do
Conveniently add RENDER to your accounts via Accounts > Add account > Choose RENDER.
Then, use the Convert feature in either:
- Home > Convert > RNDR > RENDER or
- Accounts > RNDR > Convert RNDR > RENDER
What’s Changing?
As part of the Render Foundation's roadmap, the Render Network is moving to Solana, and users can upgrade their RNDR tokens on the Ethereum blockchain to RENDER tokens on the Solana blockchain.
Due to market conditions, RNDR (ERC20) is no longer available for buying or selling. However, you can now buy, sell, or spend RENDER (SOL).
Partial Unbundle: All bundles with positive balances of RNDR have had the RNDR individually unbundled, leaving the rest of the bundle intact. This will be reflected in customer statements.
Bundle Exclusion: RNDR (ERC20) is no longer included in new purchases of the Universe, ERC-20, and AI Bundles. RENDER (SOL) will be reintroduced to CoinJar Bundles in the future, and we’ll notify you once it’s available. At that time, you will need to rebalance your bundle to include it, and standard rebalancing fees will apply.
CoinJar Exchange: RNDR has been delisted, and all RNDR balances have been transferred from CoinJar Exchange to your CoinJar account.
Deposits and Withdrawals: We will maintain RNDR (ERC20) deposits and withdrawals for existing customers until further notice. However, new RNDR deposits will only be accepted if you already have an RNDR account. RENDER (SOL) deposits and withdrawals are now available for all customers.
Tax Implications: Please be aware that converting fromRNDR to RENDER, rebalancing bundles or selling RNDR may have capital gains tax implications. We recommend seeking professional advice in relation to these transactions.
MATIC - 4th September 2024
You can now convert your MATIC (ERC20) to POL (ERC20) for free at a 1:1 ratio in the CoinJar app. CoinJar will not automatically perform this conversion on your behalf.
What Do You Need to Do?
Simply add POL to your accounts via Accounts > Add account > Choose POL.
Then, use the Convert feature in either:
- Home > Convert > MATIC > POL
- Accounts > MATIC > Convert MATIC > POL
For CoinJar Bundles, rebalance your Universe or ERC-20 Bundles by going to Bundles > Your Bundles > Select Universe/ERC-20 > Rebalance Available > Rebalance.
Rebalances of CoinJar Bundles will convert MATIC to POL for free with respect to the MATIC-to-POL portion, allowing you to swap MATIC for POL using the rebalance feature seamlessly. Each customer may have different rebalance options, and a 1% fee will apply to rebalancing any assets outside of the MATIC-to-POL conversion. As CoinJar Bundle allocation weights may change, CoinJar cannot guarantee that all MATIC-to-POL transfers will be direct; indirect transfers will incur a 1% fee.
CoinJar Exchange: Standard fees apply for MATIC and POL transactions on CoinJar Exchange. To take advantage of the fee-free conversion, transfer MATIC from CoinJar Exchange to your CoinJar account using the Transfer button. Ensure MATIC is added to CoinJar as an account before the transfer.
Tax Implications: Please be aware that converting from MATIC to POL, rebalancing bundles or selling MATIC may have capital gains tax implications. We recommend consulting your accountant for advice.
What’s Changing?
On September 4th, 2024, the Polygon team upgraded MATIC on the Ethereum blockchain to POL. CoinJar supports the upcoming MATIC (ERC20) to POL (ERC20) migration by making the following changes:
-
MATIC Delisting and POL listing: From September 4th, 2024, MATIC is no longer available for purchase or inclusion in CoinJar Bundles. Until further notice, you will be able to continue to sell MATIC using CoinJar's “Accounts”, “Sell” and “Convert” menus.
-
POL Listing: POL is now listed on CoinJar, and you are able to convert your MATIC to POL for free using the “Convert” function within the CoinJar app.
-
Bundle Updates: Starting September 4th, 2024, MATIC is no longer included in new purchases of Universe or ERC-20 Bundles; however, these bundles will continue to function as usual with the remaining assets. POL will only be automatically included in new purchases of existing bundles if you use the CoinJar Bundles rebalance feature after September 4th, 2024.
-
CoinJar Card: If you have an existing MATIC balance, you can continue using MATIC with your CoinJar Card until further notice; however, topping up with MATIC will no longer be possible.
-
CoinJar Exchange: MATIC will be delisted from CoinJar Exchange after September 4th, 2024.
As a result, all MATIC orders will be cancelled, and the corresponding funds will be returned to the user’s CoinJar account.
- Deposit and Withdrawals: You can continue to deposit and withdraw MATIC on the Ethereum network until further notice, subject to liquidity conditions. However, MATIC deposits and withdrawals on the Polygon network are not available until further notice.

Mirror (MIR) - 5 February 2024

Email communications were sent to all CoinJar users with a MIR balance.
Why have you delisted MIR?
After careful consideration, we have decided that the Mirror Protocol token (MIR) no longer meets our listing requirements.
