Edit your profile

Your CoinJar profile consists of your:

First and Last Name: This is the name displayed when you sign into your CoinJar. It does not need to be the same as your legal name which is assigned to you after completing identity verification.
Email
Username: Your CoinJar username let’s other CoinJar users pay you easily. Usernames can only be changed once every 90 days.
Address

You can update any of these details while signed in.

Using CoinJar Web

Navigate to ‘More'
Select the box at the top of the menu that displays your username and email address
Select 'Edit' above the item you want to change.

Using the CoinJar App

Tap 'More' in the bottom right hand corner of your homepage.
Select the box at the top of the menu that displays your username and email address
Select 'Edit' above the item you want to change.

Update your email address

You can change your email address in your CoinJar's profile at any time.

Click More
Click on your profile picture
Click Edit next to your email address
Enter your new email address once, and enter it again to confirm it. Note: This email address can't be in use by any other CoinJar accounts.
Enter your password

We’ll send a confirmation email to your new email address and your old email address — follow the instructions in the confirmation email sent to your new email address to finish updating your email address. You may need to check your junk/spam folder.

I've changed my email address but I can't get the confirmation email to work

If you have any issues with confirming the new email address, please follow the steps below:

Sign out of CoinJar on any devices, apps and web browsers. This is an important step.
Visit this link: https://secure.coinjar.com/users/confirmation/new
In the email field, enter in the new email address exactly. Check for any typos or spelling mistakes.
You’ll receive an email from CoinJar with the subject “Confirmation instructions”
Open the email.
In this email, there is a button near the end of the email that says “Confirm my account”. Click or tap this button.
The button will take you to the CoinJar Sign In page.
Close this page.
Visit this link: https://secure.coinjar.com/users/sign_in (you can also open the CoinJar app and sign in there)
Enter your new email address to sign in
Enter your current CoinJar password
Enter your Enhanced Security / two factor authentication code (if enabled)

Update your mobile number

You can change your mobile number at any time.

Click More
Click on Security
Click on Phone Number
Click Update Phone Number
Enter your mobile number. Note: This mobile number can't be in use by any other CoinJar accounts.
If you have Enhanced Security (2FA) enabled, you will be prompted to enter your code.
After you have submitted your 2FA code, CoinJar will send you a verification code to verify you are in control of the new mobile number.
Click Submit
You should see a message letting you know the number was successfully verified.

Manage your contacts

Make sending and receiving cryptocurrency even easier by adding contacts to your CoinJar.

Contacts can be other CoinJar members, or anyone with a wallet address for any of our supported cryptocurrencies. You can add multiple addresses to the same contact.

To add a contact:

Navigate to the 'Contacts' section of your CoinJar. (For mobile users this is in ‘More’. For web users, this is in the top menu bar)
Select the ‘+’ icon and then 'Add a new Contact'
Enter a Nickname, and their CoinJar username if applicable
Select 'Save'

To add a cryptocurrency address to a contact:

Navigate to the 'Contacts' section of your CoinJar
Select your contact and then 'Add wallet address'
Select the type of wallet address you want to add
Enter a nickname for the wallet address
Enter the wallet address
Confirm these details are correct and select 'Save'

Change your reference currency

Currently, you'll only be able to view your portfolio balances in United States Dollar (USD).
