PayID (AUD)

PayID allows you to quickly deposit funds to your CoinJar using a unique email address assigned to your account.

Deposits via PayID typically arrive within a few minutes, and can be initiated outside of business hours without any additional delay.

How to make a PayID deposit

1. Tap or click on the Deposit button on the home screen, select PayID, and take note of your unique PayID email address.
2. Open your bank's app or website, and follow the prompts to make a new transfer. This process will be different for every bank. 
3. Select email address as the recipient and enter your unique CoinJar PayID email address. Don't select "Organisation ID" or "Business". 
4. Enter the desired deposit amount.
5. Confirm the transfer.

Requirements and important information

• Deposits made from a bank account that's not registered in your legal name will be rejected and returned.
• PayID deposits made to your unique PayID email address (e.g. sample12345@payid.coinjar.com) do not require a reference number. You can enter any text of your choice in the description field or leave it blank.

Bank transfer (AUD)

Requirements and important information

• The BSB and account number you have been issued must only be used for deposits to your CoinJar account. Deposits made from a bank account that's not registered in your legal name will be rejected and returned.
• Bank transfers may not be instantaneous, and can take up to 3 business days to arrive. The timeframe of a bank transfer deposit can depend on your bank and its support for Osko. If your bank does not support Osko or you have exceeded your bank's Osko limit, your bank transfer may be sent via a slower method. Transfers via this slower method can take 1-3 business days to arrive, and are not processed on weekends or public holidays observed in Australia.
  • CoinJar has no control over how your bank processes bank transfers.

• There is no minimum deposit amount. The maximum amount depends on your CoinJar's account limits, and the transfer limits set by your bank.

Bank transfer at a glance

Bank transfers allow you to directly send funds to your CoinJar using a unique BSB and account number assigned to your account.

The BSB and account number is unique to your account and will never change, meaning you can easily schedule future transfers from your bank account.

How to make a bank transfer

1. Tap or click on the Deposit button on the home screen, select Bank transfer, and take note of the BSB and your account number.
2. Open your bank's app or website, and follow the prompts to make a new transfer. This process will be different for every bank.
3. Enter the desired deposit amount.
4. Enter your CoinJar's unique BSB and account number. 
5. Confirm the transfer.

Foreign Currency

CoinJar allows it's customers with individual accounts to deposit the following foreign currencies to fund their transactions:

• GBP
• EUR

SEPA (EUR)

How to make a deposit using SEPA

1. Create a new EUR Account in the 'Accounts' section of your CoinJar. You'll need to head over to 'Accounts', and then select 'Add account'.
2. Tap or click on the Deposit button on the home screen, select SEPA Transfer, and take note of the IBAN and your SWIFT/BIC.
3. Open your bank's app or website, and follow the prompts to make a new transfer. This process will be different for every bank.
4. Enter the IBAN and SWIFT/BIC as seen in step 1.
5. You may be required to specify a beneficiary name. If prompted, enter CoinJar UK Limited as the beneficiary name.
6. Enter the desired deposit amount.
7. Confirm the transfer.

Faster Payments (GBP)

• No deposit fee
• Typically arrives within 1-2 hours

How to make a deposit using Faster Payments

1. Create a new GBP Account in the 'Accounts' section of your CoinJar. You'll need to head over to 'Accounts', and then select 'Add account'.
2. Tap or click on the Deposit button on the home screen, select Faster Payments (FPS), and take note of the sort code and your unique account number.
3. Open your bank's app or website, and follow the prompts to make a new transfer. This process will be different for every bank.
4. Enter the sort code and account number as seen in step 1. 
5. You may be required to specify a beneficiary name. If prompted, enter CoinJar UK Limited as the beneficiary name. 
6. Enter the desired deposit amount.
7. Confirm the transfer.
