If you no longer wish to use CoinJar, you can request to have your account permanently deactivated. Currently, this process must be completed by reaching out to CoinJar Support, and you will need to be able to access your account in order to withdraw any funds and complete the deactivation.
1. Empty the balances from your CoinJar accounts
Transfer any balances within your CoinJar/CoinJar Exchange to an external cryptocurrency address or wallet. Any funds left within your account following deactivation will be unable to be recovered. If withdrawing funds to a linked bank account, please confirm receipt of the funds in your bank account before you proceed with deactivation.
2. Update your CoinJar profile name
Change your full name as recorded in your CoinJar profile to "DEACTIVATED ACCOUNT". This demonstrates you're able to access your account, and ensures the correct CoinJar is deactivated in the event you have multiple accounts.
3. Request deactivation
Finally, please reach out to our Support Team to request for your CoinJar to be deactivated. We will provide you with some final terms of account deactivation you will need to agree to.
