Signing up to CoinJar - Company Accounts

CoinJar supports separate entity accounts for your company. Some features and services are not available to use with entity accounts.

If you're setting up a CoinJar for personal use, please instead refer to our article on verifying your identity as an individual.

Requirements

When verifying an entity account, you must be able to provide identifying information about your company, and your company must be based in a supported region.

To begin identity verification as an entity, please submit a new Support request so we can assist in completing verification digitally.

 

Required documents

As part of our regulatory requirements CoinJar is required to collect the following information regarding your company.

  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • Memorandum and Article of Association
  • Current Shareholders Register
  • Current Directors Register
  • Company Bank statement
  • Copy of the board resolution authorising the opening of the CoinJar account
  • Copy of the board resolution authorising officers to trade on the company's behalf

If your company has audited accounts we will require:

  • Copy of 3 years of audited accounts of the company
    • If you do not have a copy of 3 years of audited accounts you will need to submit all available audited accounts of the company

If your company does not have audited accounts we will require:

  • Copy of unaudited accounts of the company

How to create an account for an entity

  1. Sign-up to CoinJar with a new email address dedicated to your entity.
  2. Log in to CoinJar using a web browser.

  3. Click on ‘Verify your Info’ in the Getting started section.
  4. Click the Continue button.         

     
  5. Choose your country from the drop down list, then choose the type of account e.g. ‘Company’, then click the Submit button.

  6. Complete the forms on the next several pages to Submit your application.

  7. Once submitted you will be returned to the Home page and will see an indicator showing your application is in process.

Reviewing your application

Each application is manually processed and reviewed by CoinJar’s Compliance Team. Our Compliance Team aims to resolve any verification issues within five business days, and will be in touch if they require anything further.

I've been asked to verify my identity via email

We may need to verify your identity during the application process. If you are verifying as an associate of a company, trust or self-managed super fund (SMSF), please choose to begin identity verification as an individual.
