Signing up to CoinJar

Welcome to CoinJar! You can sign up for your own CoinJar account by following the below steps:

  1. Visit the CoinJar website and select 'Sign Up'.
  2. Fill out your details, including your name and email address.
  3. We'll then email you an activation link.
  4. Click on this link to activate your CoinJar and select your CoinJar username.

You're ready to go! From here, you can verify your identity to ensure that you can enjoy all of CoinJar's features — such as making bank transfers and using CoinJar Card.

 

UK residents are required under local regulations to wait 24-hours as a “cooling off” period (from account creation), before their account is active (i.e. to deposit, trade, withdraw etc.).

UK residents are also required (in accordance with local legislation) to complete an appropriateness assessment to show they understand the risks associated with what crypto/investment they are about to buy and enabling CoinJar to categorise them as an investor. You will be required to complete this assessment and categorisation during the verification process.

Note

When creating a CoinJar, we advise using a personal email address that you will always have access to. Using an email address issued by your internet service provider or your workplace is not recommended as you may lose access to these email accounts if you switch providers or change workplaces.

 

Who can use CoinJar?

Our platform can serve as a cryptocurrency wallet, accessible from the web and the mobile app for iOS and Android, to people in most parts of the world. 

Residents of Australia and United Kingdom can verify their identity to enjoy all of their CoinJar's features.

For the time being, CoinJar members will need to be at least eighteen years of age.
